DECONSTRUCTING THE GOOD STUFF
Organic Macadamia oil: This super nourishing natively grown seed oil is non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), non-greasy, is beautifully emollient for dry, mature skin and is rich in squalene — a vegan, cruelty-free source of essential fatty acid that helps to reduce the oxidative stress that leads to wrinkles. The phytosterols in macadamia oil are also great for soothing itchiness and redness, helping to calm and balance unsettled complexions.
Organic cold pressed Rosehip oil: One of nature's most highly prized moisturisers, clinically proven to reduce appearance of scars, wrinkles and stretch marks while deeply nourishing dryness and soothing inflamed skin. Rich in vitamin A, a natural retinol, we love Rosehip oil for its powerful skin renewal capabilities.
Organic Castor oil: A much-used folk remedy that still stands the test of time, wonderfully rich Castor oil is a natural humectant, drawing moisture to the skin while preventing water loss, keeping skin hydrated for the long haul. We use this deep-penetrating oil to drive the anti-ageing properties of Serum's ingredients deep into the skin's layers, and lighten it up with other carrier oils to achieve the perfect consistency.
Helichrysum essential oil: Appropriately also referred to as Immortelle or Everlasting flower, this treasured plant yields an oil that is exceptional for all-round skin beautifying and harmonising — renewing damaged cells, reducing acne-causing bacteria and soothing redness and irritation.
Organic Frankincense essential oil: Incredibly versatile Frankincense serves our skin as an anti-inflammatory to calm redness and agitation thanks to its pentacyclic triterpene acids, and is used to stimulate cellular renewal — reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scars and stretch marks.
Organic Geranium essential oil: An all-round skin beautifying flower, Geranium's astringent properties work to firm and tighten skin and kickstart cellular renewal, while its anti-inflammatory properties soothe redness and irritation. A star plant ally for curbing acneic breakouts and regulating imbalanced moisture levels, Geranium is here to help your skin achieve happy, glowing harmony.
Myrrh essential oil: Mystical myrrh is astringent, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and more. A champion for wound healing and treating deeply cracked skin, we use Myrrh in Serum because she sweetly soothes, smooths, heals and rejuvenates.
Sandalwood essential oil: Spiritual sandalwood is also beneficial for nourishing dehydrated skin, relieving irritation and redness and improving skin elasticity. Mildly astringent, Sandalwood also helps to balance oily areas of skin.
Rose petals + rose essential oil: Prized for more than just its heavenly scent, Rose will modulate skin inflammation and reduce oxidative stress to keep signs of ageing at bay and kiss you with a smooth, creamy complexion.
APPLICATION: A little Serum goes a long way. We recommend applying a few drops to moist skin, 2-3 times a week, massaging into areas of ageing, mild scarring or uneven skin tone. Alternatively, mix a drop into a few drops of About Face oil and apply as a richer nighttime face oil twice a week.
